SATA’s Summer Leagues Start June 22nd

Not only is SATA offering the Regular Leagues (rotational, traditional, and mixed doubles and team tennis), but we’re now offering Flex Leagues during the summer as well.  You can participate in singles, doubles, or both!  Click here to see the Leagues offered this summer.

Registration opens on May 22nd and closes on June 8th.  Registration fees are $80 per Regular League teams and $20 per Flex League teams.

Message From the President

SATA is in it’s second year of supporting local high school tennis teams.  The Community Projects Committee begins by contacting schools in our area that can use a little extra help with equipment, clothing and practice partners.

Currently we are helping Florin, Rio Linda and Hiram Johnson High Schools with donated rackets, bags and various other types of equipment as needed.

Most of these programs are non-cut sports, which means whoever comes out for the team becomes a player.  Many of the students have had no training in the sport, so volunteers from SATA have offered their time in the afternoon to hit with the students and give them some pointers.  The coaches are especially enthusiastic about this arrangement because they have between 25-30 players to one or two coaches.

SATA prides itself on aiding tennis programs in our area.  Thanks to all SATA players who are involved!

SATA’s series of Junior Grand Prix tournaments throughout the year is a great way for junior tennis players to practice their skills, as well as become comfortable with competitive play.  High school players have an  opportunity to get ready for their upcoming seasons.  Check the schedule to view the complete list.
